Wow! What fantastic presentations yesterday. Lisa did a wonderful kicking off our SMACdown. I am not as familiar with the online Spark notes and other sites like Bookrags so this was all new to me. Great ideas with the Google Maps and VoiceThread. When Melissa presented, I honestly felt as though I had just taken a trip to Washington...what a great way to tell about a vacation adventure (especially one that is historical). Rose's creative use of VoiceThread for a quiz/game was really fun, engaging, and forced me to listen carefully. Great idea. I also enjoyed how Cheryl took her pictures and put them together into an engaging and very entertaining story--poor Mad :). It gave me an idea...giving students some random digital images and asking them to create a story. You could put together sets of digital images in Flickr and they could select a set and create a story. Fun idea. After yesterday, I cannot wait to see the final PowerPoint presentations.
